Evaluating and choosing the best resume writing services is not an easy thing to do, that's why I created this site. The reviews complied here were produced using a range of online resources, the major reference point was the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB is a public watchdog that is focused on enhancing trust between businesses and consumers. The Top 5 ranked companies are here due to a combination of their BBB ranking, their service offerings and prices.

Resume 2 Hire
From $49.00
|
This option will be a 'no brainer' for a lot of people because the price is just so competitive. You can't argue that, however you will forgo some of the personalized touches and you will be completing forms and not speaking with people. Their service is described as "fast, easy and effective". I agree, and they're a great match for junior to mid level professionals. Click here for the full Resume 2 Hire review.

A prominent group that has a large strong online presence. Their online reviews don't stack up as favorably as the rest, but they are a value option competing against the likes of Resume2Hire. They offer budget pricing and a quick service is available. A viable option for early career job seekers who need some help with the basics, but best left alone by the career professionals. The Selection Criteria for the writing services We reviewed
When you consider all of the companies out there, online and offline, that provide professional CV writing services the list is large. There are some major players like some of those reviewed here and there are some very small niche providers. In order to satisfy the needs of the majority of people reading this review I have targeted companies that meet certain criteria.
Along with making my own judgement I relied heavily on the findings of the BBB, this group provides an unbiased and consumer focused view of a companies performance in the marketplace. This list is not the definitive all time top 5, but they meet key criteria that ensures they can be measured and compared effectively.
- They Provide a Full Range of Services - Resumes, CV's, Cover Letters, LinkedIn, Interview Advice, Follow Up Letters etc
- Online Visibility - this is important so you can find them online but also review what customers say about them online
- Established - People want to work with companies that have some runs on the board, it's only natural

How can a Professional Writing Service help you?
There are a few ways you can benefit from using a professional service, and it's not as obvious as it may seem:
- You have a CV but you want to get it improved or professionally edited - A very common avenue, though most companies tend to view editing and writing a resume as virtually the same thing - so expect to pay the same for the luxury.
- You don't have a CV and need one created from scratch - With a company that provides some consultative services, you can go from zero to hero painlessly. There are a a couple of alternatives available to you online if you want to pay less, these are free templates and resume builders. Personally, I wouldn't recommend a builder and would only advise using a template if you are confident with your writing ability.
- You need LinkedIn advice or Interview help - These are nice add-ons you can expect to find with most service providers these days. LinkedIn is the most important thing for you to work on after your resume and cover letter. Recruiters use LinkedIn to search for people and also to verify that people are who they say they are. It's a must for any professional - but again, you can work on this by yourself without paying if you want.
Choosing the Best Writer For You
The purpose of this review is to highlight 'who does what well'. We've done that, but if you're a graduate or an executive who should you choose?
- Consultative one-to-one phone conversations - For me, this is really important for professionals, management level or above, people changing careers and people looking to step up or gain a promotion. 3 out of the 5 services reviewed here offer that service. It also provides a different level of access, speaking to a person produces different results to writing emails or chat and it give you a feeling of control. Of course this comes with a price tag, however it's well worth it.
- Guarantees and Assurances - This is why you are looking up professional help, assurance. It's important to find a company that you feel comfortable with. At the end of the day, a guarantee is nice, however it won't get you an interview, you will need to do your part there, it's more about choosing the best partner to work with to get you there.
- Cost - This is obvious, it's the number one thing we all look at first, who doesn't do this when they're shopping. With something as important as a resume, you should consider all factors not just the price alone. But I'll leave that decision to you and I've presented two very good low price writing services among these reviews.
